A Discerner Speaks (continued)

It calmed me down a little bit, it made me understand that people are being called in different ways—that you don't have to be poor, rich, beautiful, ugly, etc.  God looks into the heart. I listened to all the sisters’ stories about how they were called in different ways, and I felt relaxed and happy.

The name Journey and Dream is the summary of it all. Coming to that event made me know, without any doubt in my heart, that I have a vocation to religious life. This is something that has been there that I didn't want to talk about or think about for a long time. The Journey and Dream event helped me to open up and face a little bit of what is out there for me. I am so happy that I made the call and was able to make it to St. Louis.

Don't laugh okay- I gave myself a name after the man in the bible--Jonah. You know the story very well.  I don't want to run any more. I want to answer God's call to serve him in religious life. I wouldn't have made this decision if not for the Journey and Dream. I am so glad that I came; it was a wonderful experience that I will never forget. It helped me a lot--it was an amazing journey.

I thank God for inspiring you to start something like that to help those who are discerning.

In my next e-mail I will ask you a few more questions.
Thanks a lot and God bless you.
